Ⅰ. Introduction:

　　The PhotoVoltaic Technical Conference 2017, PVTC, the 8th event of a series of international PV specialty conferences, will take place for the second time in Marseille (Southern France), from 26 to 28 April 2017 at the International Center of Villa Méditerranée.This event brings together worldwide speakers and attendees from all over the world around the topic ?From materials and advanced processes to innovative applications?. Last edition in 2016 featured academic and industrial attendees from more than 20 countries.

　　The objective of the conference is to give a vision, at the world level, of the latest scientific and technical advances regarding new generations of solar cells.

　　For the last edition in 2016, presentations of very high level covered the various types of PV, in a homogeneous and effective way. The participants were very satisfied with participating in this conference. This recognition at the international level is a real boost for the 2017 edition.
